Artists and scientific illustrators have long painted natural forms. Dubiner's begonia, on the right, is a traditional study of a plant almost as it would appear in a photograph.

As a psychemorphographer, Dubiner uses images of real jellyfish and sea anemones to create an imaginary garden of acqueous delights, a stage for the human drama of longing and playfulness.
